I'd like to try some out too. Cheaper alternative to Sunline Defier perhaps. Doubt it will be as good, but one can hope.

Re: New Sufix 21 Line
I saw some of this on the shelves at my local DSG as well and it caught my eye and I read over the product packaging. I never use mono, or else I would have given it a shot. I'm curious to see how it performs though.

Re: New Sufix 21 Line
Got the line wet for just about a week now.
I'm using the Sufix 21 8lbs on my Aldebaran MG7 with BFC732 Spool.
Casting 1/8 oz beetlespins and weightless plastics.
Cant explain the feeling but its almost like good quality copolymer line with just a little stretch.
Casting was good and memory is manageable (can remove the coils within 2-3 casts.).
Hooked up a few good 3-pounders and it performed very well.
Abrasion was comparable with regular mono. So far the line performs well and no breakoffs yet after a week of fishing.

Have you ever used Sunline Defier? Just wondering if this line has similar properties. Though I've never experienced any coiling issues with Defier.Jayce wrote:Got the line wet for just about a week now.

Hi,
Nope just the shooter in 10 lbs.
Re: New Sufix 21 Line
local DSG finally put the heavier stuff on the shelf. Bought a 330 yd spool of 14# for 6.99. Couple months before I find out if I like it or not.

Re: New Sufix 21 Line
I bought some in 12lb. Seems very stiff to me. Almost springs off the spool.

Re: New Sufix 21 Line
I finally used the line and it seemed to cast well with a buzz bait. I currently have 12lb and will be trying the 10 lb when it warms up here.
