Best knot for Trilene Big Game
Since the Big Game has a reputation for good knot strength, what knot would be the best for the Trilene Big Game when tied to a lure? I got the 12 and 15 pound test models and I kept using the Improved Clinch but it kept slipping and I even lost some of my lures (including a Deps Buzzjet and Megabass Giant Dog X) and worst of all, I lost a Rapala X-Rap to a possible 4 pound Bronzeback on a pond one day. Also, if possible, can some of you guys show me the knot strength of the 12 and/or 15 pound test of this line and compare it to other knots.

I use a palomar regardless of what type of line.

Trilene knot works great for me.

2x. Great knot, easy to tie. Although kind of a pain in really light line (< 4lb), but tying knots in line that light is always a pain!SteveDB wrote:I use a palomar regardless of what type of line.

I use Trilene Big Game in 10 and 12# test primarily for cranks and use a trilene knot.

I use a Polomar knot and if I have an issue with that, though rare, I'll switch to a Miller Knot.

I've had no problems with a fish n fool, improved clinch, or Lindeman knot with Big Game. Fish N Fool is my primary knot though.
