Jerry Brown Braid

Post by Redfish » Wed Apr 20, 2011 1:48 pm

Anyone use this line? I have been lurking around other fishing forums and they seem to love the stuff. I currently use powerpro and love it, but am just wanting to try something different. Samurai braid is also on my list of "wanna try."

I use Jerry Brown, Daiwa Samurai, and Momoi Diamond Braid. I like them all. Samurai will be your best casting, Momoi the strongest, most abrasion resistant, and JB is a bit of both. With the improvement in spectra manufacturing and technology, I feel that Power Pro and Spiderwire are almost obsolete these days. I will never go back.

Thanks for the reply...may be time to get a couple spools of both JB and Samurai and do a self test!

I don't have any personal experience with it, but I do know that it is one of the most favored braids for long range anglers out of San Diego. We sold tons of it at the tackle shop I used to work at.
