Need help choosing line?
I just got a Powell 733C paired it with a E7, and now I just need help figuring out what line to spool it with? I bought this setup to use for jigs, t-rigs, senkos, small swimbaits, etc..
Should I go all braid? all fluoro? Or should I just spool up braid and leader with fluoro? What works best when using lots of different baits? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

How deep and how clear of water are you planing on fishing this with?
Shallow/Stained water I like 40-50lb Sufix 832 with 16-20lb Shooter/Sniper leader.
Deep/Clear water I like straight 14-16lb Shooter or Tatsu.

I have a DX743 with a Revo Premier that I use for the same techniques as you listed. I am using Toray Superhard Upgrade in 14LB test. I prefer a high grade floro for texas rigs and senkos.

Re: Need help choosing line?
Half of the lakes I am fishing this year have water clarity up to 10-15ft deep. The river I fish is pretty stained all year round except in the shallow bays and coves. I will probably use this combo more so in the mid to shallow depths.
I haven't tried 832 to yet but I have heard a lot of good things about it. How long of a leader do you use when you use 832 and shooter/sniper?

I've never used that Toray how do you like it? How does the 14lb cast? I prefer fluoro for sure when I fish rigs and senkos. What do you think about using 15lb Seaguar Invizx?njbasscat wrote:I have a DX743 with a Revo Premier that I use for the same techniques as you listed. I am using Toray Superhard Upgrade in 14LB test. I like the Super Hard Upgrade for techiques where feel is important. It is the most sensative I have used so far and is low stretch compared to the others I've used. The abrasion restance is great. I have a couple reels that are going on there 2nd season with the same line. It casts well but not as good as co-poly, especially when pitching lighter texas rigs. I don't like Seaguar Invizx. It fishes like mono and has more stretch than alot of mono and co-poly lines. I didn't find it to be that sensative either. It seems that with flouro you have to choose, either you get a low stretch, very sensative line that has very good abrasion restance but can be difficult to manage or you can get a line that manages more easily but you give up sensativity and abrasion resistance IMHO. I think that Berkley 100% Flouro falls right in the middle and is the line I use for cranking, spinnerbaits, etc. I have not had a problem with knot strengh and use a parlomar knot. I tie it carefully and wet it always. Some have problems with knots and flouro and it definitly has a lower breaking strenght in the lab but this has not been a problem for me on the water.
