Which Line Do You Prefer for Lite Plastics?

Post by zodiak311 » Sat Feb 26, 2011 8:52 pm

Hi TT,
Trying to figure out what kind of mono to use on my Pixilla for very lite plastics. I figure that I will be using 6-8 pound test. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I like using braid with a short leader of Pline CX.

For me, that setup has great sensitivity, excellent hooking strength, and still allows me to break off and retie with the frequency of snags from fishing the plastic where it needs to be fished.

Sunline Sniper FC in #7. I use it on my Sol for drop-shot.

I've been using 6 lb. Izorline XXX for spinning. I just got some Izorline Platinum, which is supposed to be stiffer, to use on my baitcaster this year.

Sunline Sniper #7

I don't own a Pixilla but I have a couple tricked out, shallow spooled Core 51MG's.
