Daiwa Bearing size

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

Daiwa Bearing size

Post by breamtim » Fri May 01, 2020 2:17 am

Hi all

Could anyone tell me what size bearing is used for the worm gear bearing on most of the Daiwa casting reels, the one available in this kit- https://tackletrap.com/index.php?main_p ... ts_id=3114

Thanks, Tim

Most of the Daiwas take a 4x7x2.5 bearing to replace the bushing. The same size as the handle knob bearings. That kit is going to give you the spacer you also need, so unless you're handy with a lathe...
