Daiwa BG 3000 or fuego lt 4000

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

Daiwa BG 3000 or fuego lt 4000

Help me choose. I'm aware of the weight difference but I'm leaning heavily on the BG. It will be used on tatula elite 7' mmh spinning rod or 7'2" mh cronos spinning rod for skipping shakey heads under docks.

If your quest is long term durability I think the BG would be it. I have a smaller BG and think it is great, and while I have not fished a Fuego I have fished other reels in the LT line and think they are some of the best spinning reels made. The obvious difference is the one you already mentioned, weight, but I think the BG would balance well with the rods you mentioned. It is hard to go wrong with those two options.

Thank you for the input. I have not fished any of the LT
