daiwa alphas air stream custom

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

hey guys do any of you know if the air stream custom can take a normal 105 spool or other aftermarket spools or would the pinion be smaller on the spool it comes stock with? im wanting to get one for a legend elite rod but not the super finesse spool that is with the reel thanks for any info.

No, it's a 31mm spool, not 33mm. You can install the spool from a pixy without changing anything else on it AFAIK. There's a topic devoted to this in the enthusiast section.

And you can use the PX68 Ize spool and Rayz DIY pixy spool . Anything that fits the pixy really...
