ICAST 2019
Re: ICAST 2019
Maybe, maybe... concerning the Zillions that is. I just don't know what will happen though, because they upped the Steez A to $500 and now they have a super premium priced Steez CT SV. I feel like that frame size will be the next front running tech Daiwa pushes. I just don't know if they'd offer brass gears (which some consider an obvious improvement) and an aluminum frame (another feature some like better, over magnesium) for less price than the ridiculous $700 Steez CT SV. I just don't know, I wish they'd bring something new. If it weren't for a few things that bother me I'd just have gotten an Aldebaran.
Re: ICAST 2019
You and I may seen Aluminum frame and brass gears as an improvement but Daiwa still considers magnesium frames and aluminium gears as a premium features. They're not wrong. Magnesium frames and aluminum gears cut that well to be as smooth as they are can't be cheap.
With this new Steez moving to a smaller platform it is possible that the older Steez TW/Steez A platform may move down to the Zillion line. They already released a new Morethan on that platform. If that is any indicator then a new Zillion may appear on it as well. That is what happened with the last Morethan. That reel came out before the Zillion TWS. We were all making fun of it calling if a Tatula you are paying Morethan you should.

Re: ICAST 2019
70 sized ct sv tw Zillion with brass gears and aluminium frame in ct Steez outlook would be great! That 30 mm deep spool is truly versatile with nowadays braided lines!
Re: ICAST 2019
I'd like to see the Steez A and Steez SV TW modified to where the mag dial is at the bottom of the palm plate, making it a more streamlined platform while still retaining the 34mm spool. If they needed to downsize the TWS to prevent the bulbus profile, I would be good with that too.
And Jeez..$500-$700 platform, throw a darn carbon handle on the thing.

This sounds fairly reasonable and logical imo.LowRange wrote: ↑Tue Jun 25, 2019 9:29 amYou and I may seen Aluminum frame and brass gears as an improvement but Daiwa still considers magnesium frames and aluminium gears as a premium features. Not to mention a 90mm one at that...Aquaftm45 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 25, 2019 10:20 amI'd like to see the Steez A and Steez SV TW modified to where the mag dial is at the bottom of the palm plate, making it a more streamlined platform while still retaining the 34mm spool. Re: ICAST 2019
Has daiwa ever released/revamped a reel without someone on tackle tour knowing about it first? I dont believe so, and I've been around here since 2002. I'm thinking no zillion.
Re: ICAST 2019
New Daiwa spinning reel. Looks like a Tatula.

Nope ... if you know how to ask and where to ask from people who actually distribute/ sell the product ... you can find out.
There will be a new Zillion.

Introduced soon... availability will be by end of year.
