DC problems on a Met MG DC

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

DC problems on a Met MG DC

Post by SSS » Sat May 25, 2019 10:28 am

I was wondering if any of you had this happen on any of your DC reels. On the Met MG DC you have your 4 adjustments, the L, M, A and W. L being for the longest casts and W for max brakes/wind. What's happening is that L applies more braking power than M, and sometimes they both apply the exact same amount of braking (both apply the braking force of L). Its really frustrating because you may set your brakes to M, expecting good control, but instead you get minimal brakes.

I remember seeing a guy on youtube having the same kind of issues on his Curado DC. His adjustment 1 applied more braking force than adjustment 2.
