Should be fine, I’ve cast 3g with no issues. Worst case is you could always upgrade the spool to a Microcast. It’s a hefty reel that feels awesome in hand.

I have done 2.5 gram spoon with 10lb braid on stock spool.
The 2-2.5 gram weight range is easier with aftermarket spool (I use KTF, but Avail probably just as good or better).

I can do 15-20 m with KTF spool.
Probably less (15m) with 2.5g and stock spool.

10+ different rods :D Not much difference. Smith rod today. Also Major Craft fine tail and n-one, Daiwa wise stream, st croix gulf coast, kuying teton, tsurinoya dexterity, plus some rod names that i forgot.
99% sea run brown trout.

I see

I want to use it on a lake with area spoons 2 - 2.5 gr where I need to cast 20 m or more sometimes... What do you say? That BFS style I just love it and I want to try it. With my spinning combo I do this distance... But I dont know If I can do it by cast combo...?!?

20 meters? The Alphas ASC will blow that out of the water. I can easily spool it on 6# fluoro with a bait like that. That's 40m or so. Bone stock.

I fish it on a Major Craft MS-X 64UL/BF. Dropped down to 4# fluoro for that little bit of extra capacity. I also slowed the reel down to 5.8, but that's just personal preference.
This is the way.

With Alphas ASC I get the same approx. 20 meter with 2-2.5 gram spoon. Perhaps a few meters more with the 2.5 gram spoon (similar with Conquest BFS w KTF).
I am not the best caster in the world, but I doubt that many will be able to replicate 40 meter with a 2.5 gram spoon on a baitcasting setup...heck even Ul spinning will be difficult.

Wait, I might have been spooling it with a 3.5... I think there may have been several loops left with the 2.3. As soon as I get home tonight I'll tie on a 2.3g and test it. I'll have to just walk off the distance since there's 4# on it now and that offers 10 more meters. I don't want to lie to you so I'll make sure to check. Hopefully it won't be windy...
