Daiwa SS SV103 SH/L ?
Daiwa SS SV103 SH/L ?
I recently tried a SS SV103 and fell in love with how it fits my small hand. I never gave this reel much though before now. I know it’s supposed to be a watered down version of a Steez, but which Steez model exactly? I’m asking because I didn’t care for the one or two Steez reels I tried over the years as they felt too wide... unlike the SS SV103. Thanks in advance.

Same form factor as the Steez SV103 and limited Steez SV models, which are pretty much the same as the OG Steez. Daiwa didn't change the footprint until the TW models.aqua71 wrote: ↑Fri Apr 19, 2019 9:29 amI recently tried a SS SV103 and fell in love with how it fits my small hand. Thanks for the feedback. However, I find that interesting because the Steez reels I tried at the time definitely felt wider to me. Perhaps the reels were mounted on a different type of rod handle giving me that impression.

Placebo effect perhaps? Different reel seats maybe. Could be that one is full magnesium, the other hybrid with plastic? Who knows

Everyone likes the Alphas platform but to me the OG Steez is hands down the most comfortable and best looking platform.

You're not confusing the SS SV103 with the SV103 are you? The SV103 is the old TD Zillion and is more narrow than the SS SV103/Steez but taller.

Definitely not.
I own four (4) SV103 reels and there's no way anyone can confuse them with the SS SV103 (Apples vs Oranges).
