Received my first DC reel

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

Received my first DC reel

Post by SapperTyler » Wed Mar 06, 2019 9:09 am

I know I’m months behind the curve but I just received my new Curado DC today. I paired it with a 6’10 MH/F Exage rod and it feels nice. I spoiled some 15lb fluoroclear on it and did some casting out in the yard and it casts like a dream on setting 2 even with 12 mph winds. This is my first DC reel and from the looks feel and sound it prolly won’t be my last.

Nice!
Why is there a concerted effort of hate? And why is it allowed?

well you've had that curado dc a month now. how are you liking it? would you recommend one? i fish smaller lakes, no saltwater. no huge weedbed/grass mats. i throw trigs, spinnerbaits, cranks, topwaters, senkos, ned rigs, plastics, and jerkbaits. i've got three daiwa/megabass casting reels NIB but bait monkey says it is time to get a move on.
