Tatula SV TW

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

Tatula SV TW

Post by OkobojiEagle » Sun Feb 17, 2019 9:59 am

I don't need another reel, but...

Looking for just one person who has owned a Tatula SV TW and didn't like fishing it. I need at least a tiny amount of support to resist...

Try not to let your mind wander. It is much too small to be outside unsupervised.

The T-Wing makes them stupid shapped. [-( They still palm OK and cast well if control at low spool speed is valued. I really like the one I have.

I personally can't wait for the SV version of the newest Tatula. That reel fits my palm so well!

I saw that a link in another post a few weeks back.......but sadly, I'm just not a fan of purple accents on a reel. I've had a couple of reels decked out with purple accents(an Alphas Type F and silver Pixy) and sold them off. I just can't like it, which is probably why I don't have any 8 gear Daiwa reels lol! Here's to hoping the USDM or JDM model is all stealthed-out in black with silver or gunmetal accents. Call me old-school, but I like understated beauty like that.

It's an SV tatula 100 /w the new tatula frame. There's a few videos on youtube. It has the "hardbodyz" frame. It's kind of hard to tell what exact frame the reel is on but if you skip to 1:54 here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3vAnTRcGfO8&t=67s you get a good look at it. Snapped a pic. Looks like a 100...I think...I have 2 and can't tell.

I'm with ya. I'm also don't know much about hardbodyz frame material enough to take the gamble on the reel.

That's the Tatula CT platform. That is not based off the new 100.

I'll defer to you. I can't tell. Looks so small on youtube.
