Spinning reel spool bearing

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

What's the point of a bearing instead of a bushing on a spinning reel spool?

When you reel it? but the spool and the shaft doesnt even spin. Do you mean when you peel the drag and the spool spins?

It makes the drag smoother. It's worth doing, too if your reel is capable of accepting one.
