Curado I Grinding Problem

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

Update: After taking apart all 3 reels for a more careful inspection I noticed there were drag washer particles scattered everywhere. Most were the size of dust particles but there were a few like the one pictured below. They had gotten onto the main & idle gears. I cleaned and re-lubricated and now all of them are running like new.

Factory carbon fiber. I also noticed the there was not enough grease on most of them.

Thanks for reporting back on the issue. That’s something that doesn’t usually come to mind when discussing that type of problem. Glad it was nothing major and you got it figured out.

It's as if almost the washers are punched and installed directly to the reels themselves.

With carbontex you got to dust the washer before installation to rid it of any excess or swarf.
