Have you replaced the bushings with bearings? I also replaced my knobs with cork RCS ones. I'm not sure why Daiwa went with bushings and cheap knobs on a $450 reel.

The Steez A is aimed at inshore fishing and saltwater deposited get in the handle knons and lock up bearings. The little bit of play in the bushing help to prevent the knobs from locking up in saltwater.HobeyBaker wrote:Have you replaced the bushings with bearings?
