What's next for Shimano???
Re: What's next for Shimano???
To stir the pot...
It is posted in the "hot deals" section that the scorpion 70 is on sale on Japan tackle. Maybe the first sign of a new 70? The Yokohama show is a little over a month away

I'm hoping for a new 70 size also. An updated citica would be nice too.

If we talking about rods, it would be nice to see Poison Glorious 2 pcs (center cut) models.

Re: What's next for Shimano???
The Citica is definetly due for an update, though that isn't exactly the finesse reel they are talking about.
Re: What's next for Shimano???
Good point, I wonder if they are using that model to use excess productions of the Curado I series. Like leftover parts and factory setup for the Curado I could really save money by producing the Citica (which is still a good reel).russ57 wrote:The Citica is definetly due for an update, though that isn't exactly the finesse reel they are talking about.
Re: What's next for Shimano???
Shimano needs a reel in the $130 - $150 price range.
Something between the SLX and curado.
A new citica would definitely fit the bill.

Shimano doesn't have "MGL brakes" on any reel.Hobie-Wan Kenobi wrote:What about the MGL brakes?Maslorez36 wrote:New Antares with svs infinity brake system please

As others have mentioned, an updated curado/scorpion 70 with an MGL spool would be nice to see.
