What's next for Shimano???

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

To stir the pot...

It is posted in the "hot deals" section that the scorpion 70 is on sale on Japan tackle. Maybe the first sign of a new 70? The Yokohama show is a little over a month away \:D/

I'm hoping for a new 70 size also. An updated citica would be nice too.

If we talking about rods, it would be nice to see Poison Glorious 2 pcs (center cut) models.

The Citica is definetly due for an update, though that isn't exactly the finesse reel they are talking about.

Good point, I wonder if they are using that model to use excess productions of the Curado I series. Like leftover parts and factory setup for the Curado I could really save money by producing the Citica (which is still a good reel).

Shimano needs a reel in the $130 - $150 price range.
Something between the SLX and curado.
A new citica would definitely fit the bill.

Shimano doesn't have "MGL brakes" on any reel.

I guess I should clarify. The MGL spool that affects the current SVS Infinity brake system.

As others have mentioned, an updated curado/scorpion 70 with an MGL spool would be nice to see.
