A Tatula 100 SV would be nice. Right now the Tat SV is my favorite bang for the buck reel. Something with the same performance in a smaller and lighter form factor would be nice.

Re: 2019 wishes
A lot of guys here have always said they wanted smaller version of the Z2020-basically a compact, solid aluminum reel with Magforce 3D braking and a 1016 size spool so we could have a myriad of spool options to try in it. It's always interesting to see how different spools behave in different reels. For example, I have found that the OG Steez 100 spool works fantastic in my TDZ 105H. Even with the mag dial turned down to 2-3, it is still controlled and will bomb anything over 1/4 oz.papagravey wrote:It’s a lot of Daiwa guys in here. What is this baby z you all speak of
Try not to let your mind wander. It is much too small to be outside unsupervised.
Re: 2019 wishes
Yep. If man could love a machine then I would love my SV Zillion with Steez 103 spool with HLC spring. Magforce = '4' can be cast into the wind without worries. And casts heavy weights in power casts almost as long as HLC does. But still I would like better reel than SV Zillion. I'm not sure is Steez A that. Weights almost same as SV Zillion but doesn't have brass gears. With Z1016 I would be in heaven.

I often dream of this too. How is the durability of the Aldebaran? Could an XG hold up to flipping light cover?Hennessy wrote:Shimano Aldebaran 30/50mgl XG
Ive been tempted to swap my XG gears from my 16 Aldebaran BFS with an Aldebaran MGL HG....very tempting

I wish that ZPI would start making BFS parts for the newer Aldebarans.
Re: 2019 wishes
You could get get a 12 Aldebaran BFS XG and have a reel with 8.0:1 gears and plenty of line capacity for a Pop Max. It looks like our beloved 09 Aldebaran and XT1000 except it’s a tad smaller.LgMouthGambler wrote:
