What reel do you use for mid to deep crankbaits?

Re: Cranking Reel
TDZ 103H with 5.1:1 gears and an OG Fuego with 5.7:1 gears. I've never found a need to replace either one.
Try not to let your mind wander. It is much too small to be outside unsupervised.

Re: Cranking Reel
Curado 100d and 100b. I kept the old schoolers because i rarely use deep cranks

Re: Cranking Reel
When I do deep cranking, I prefer the Shimano Antares 5.4 or the JDM Zillion TW 1516 5.5

Re: Cranking Reel
New version of the ryoga 1016. If I could find a 6 speed z2020 I might try that as mys 7 speed BOMBS lures, I can dump the spool with a 3/4 oz rattle bait.

Re: Cranking Reel
Zillion crazy crank with HLC spool, looking for JDream 5.3 for deep cranks, mid and shallow depths I use 6.3.

Curado 200i PG 5.5:1 ratio. Love it.
probably the last USA market cranking curado that will ever be made

Re: Cranking Reel
I use the Tdz 100m for shallow and mid cranks along with a Zillion CC.
For really deep cranks I use an Abu Garcia original Revo Winch... while waaay heavy, it's a hoss for deep cranks..

Re: Cranking Reel
The original Lew's bb1n. Large v spool and 4:3 gear ratio with 3 ball bearings.

Re: Cranking Reel
Ambassadeur 5501cs Pro Rocket Black Edition. Maybe if I was a maniac and Daiwa made it in lefty I'd consider a Ryoga CC.
This is the way.

Re: Cranking Reel
Abu Revo3 SX-L(IVCB 4 conversion, with 4.6:1 Toro Winch gears) for medium. And Lews BB2 lefty with BPS Pro qualifier 4.7:1 gears for deep. OG ZLN CC as a back up with HLC spool.
Picked up a TDZ100ML and could use the Zillion HLC spool. Stuffed in CVZ203L 5.1:1 gearing, Hopefully trying this weekend.
