Not expecting much but I thought I would ask...
Is there a spool that would fit the Tierra that would be a better performer with lighter lures. If there is
I thought I would surprise my son and order him one.
Thanks

Jim

not unless the Alphas 150 spool is lighter, also TD Advantage HSTA spool will fit.

Didn't know if the Advantage HSTA spool was much of an upgrade...

Coastal had a deep spool that should fit IIRC.

Coastal uses centriflex cast control so spool won't fit

Whoops, Sorry about that!! :(

Take a gander at the JDM Alphas 150H series. Spool looks to be shallower than the tierra/Advantage series reels.

From what I can figure out the difference between the Advantage HSTA and the Tierra 153h is:
A better drag
4 more bearings (handle)
Swept handle
Swept drag star
Nicer finish
The spool is the same as many other things
Already put upgrades in drag, bearings, and Zillion drag star...soon Zillion handle
Pretty much done on his reels...
