TD Zillion drag star

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

Does the TD Zillion stock drag star work on the TD-Z and Fuego reels?

It's a bit heavier, but yes. You will need a swept handle for it to look right. The TD Zillion Type-R and 50th Anniversary stars are lighter because they don't have a brass/heavy metal center like the TD Zillion.

You might also need an extra spacer washer. On some TDZs, the collar hits the silver handle
bearing sleeve when the drag is really tight.
Try not to let your mind wander. It is much too small to be outside unsupervised.

Isn't the drag star on the 50th lighter in color than the normal Zillion perhaps matching the original TDZ better?

Yes, it matches almost exactly....but I'm pretty sure that part sold out long ago. I tried to source one 3 yrs or so ago with no luck. But this is TT, someone is bound to have a takeoff in their parts stash.

That's what I've started doing. I have several parts reels that I scavenge from.
