Is this reel going to be a jdm reel only or is it going to make it stateside in the future?

Can only guess about US market, but we got them in Oz a while ago.

Probably won't make it to the US market. I don't think the previous one for here sold well.

I think the new ones look really cool compared to the first ones. If anyone has one how do you like it?

I think they look great also. I'm hoping they make a new Zillion or Tatula Type R on the new frame with similar styling.

my friend loves it and i play with it for about 1/2 hour..... It is too big for my small hand.... but it cast very well, maybe due to the fixed spool.

After knowing it is made in Thailand.... and I am very very sorry and I have to say "No", cause not all Zillion 2018 HD is good so u need to hold and play with it before you purchase cause another friend got a lemon

I have a zillion SV TW 1016 (made in Thailand).... (out of the box) and went fishing... after playing for 2 hours.... the spool is start moving left and right, tide up my pinion..... after 2 casts and again...... finally i found out the screws were loosen up on the gear side. ....

Well.... Once again, basically not all the Daiwa made in Thai is bad, but u just need to hold and play with it before you purchase.

I agree and think it was because they made it in the wrong gear ratio (7.3:1)....thye needed to at least add a 5.5:1 for us that wanted for Deep Cranks and Big Swimbaits.

I like the idea that they are Mag sealed and can be used for inshore as well.

Anyway ... Tackle Trap is taking the USA version (2015) and making custom gear ratio versions.
