Shimano AND Daiwa

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

Shimano AND Daiwa

Why is it that Shimano changes their reel more often than Daiwa
Then you can’t find parts but people are still fishing TD-Z and have parts

This is so relevant in Australia too...

Basically called Planned Obsolescence.

This is my frustration. The D7 core platform worked but now discontinued??
So I’m in too deep to sale with additional cosmetic and performance parts
If it was a Steez reel I would still be in good order with so many crossover parts
That’s all I’m saying. Like the people who brought that fast car. Pontiac GTO
was very fast. But no support parts makes it irrelevant
