Which reel for my Helium 3, 7' heavy?

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

Having gone from all Shimano to Lews (bb1's, speed spool tournament and super duty) I have gone back to a mix of Shimano (Chronarch 200hg, 150, 150hg, Curado K) and Daiwa (SV103, Tatula CT, Type-r).

I am moving away from LEWS for several reasons:

1) they don't hold up like Shimano.
2) Local store does not carry them anymore, and will not send them out for service
3) for the price point, the Daiwa's and Shimano's are better (e.g. BB1's cost $159.00 Tatula CT $159.00 CDN)
4) Can customize the Shimano and Daiwa reels if I want to.

Skipping with a Shimano. The list of things I've heard now contains everything.
