Hi folks,
I'm on the market for a new reel, can't decide what to get though, local shops (here in Italy) have a very limited choice,
I'd like a versatile reel which can throw light lures (the lightest being around 5 grams which I can easily throw with my curado 71HG and piscifun phantom) and my most used lure weight range is about 7-10 grams,
I'd like to try a Daiwa this time (never tried a magnetic only reel), but I can't try one in person in local shops here,
is the tatula that much bigger than the average shimano? does it palm good (CT)?
Thanks for your help!
ciao from Italy!
Help me decide! Daiwa Tatula, fuego or Curado k or??

If you are looking for versatility, and ability to throw light lures, you may wanna try the Tatula SV.

The Tatula will handle those weights. I am assuming you're meaning weight plus plastic. But as LgMouthGambler stated, the Tatula SV is right up your alley.

The tatula SV is quite more pricey (150 Euros), what about the Tatula CT type R or regular one? and the curado k?
I can have the CT type R for 100 Euros and the curado K for 120,
thanks for your help!

If thats the case, I would opt for the Fuego, and have at it. Same spool/gears/internals as the Tat.rockappalla wrote:The tatula SV is quite more pricey (150 Euros), what about the Tatula CT type R or regular one? and the curado k?

If it doesn't cast light enough you can always try an Aliexpress spool.rockappalla wrote:I just ordered a Tatula CT type R, we'll see how I like it...I paid 103 Euros while the fuego was 88, so I chose the Tatula...thanks guys!

Add a drop of high speed oil to each spool bearing , tg's yellow rocket fuel does wonders.

I have some sewing machine oil, it's pretty thin, is that ok?
do the bearings need a good flush in lighter fluid out of the box or they come already lubed?
thanks !

I have no idea about sewing machine oil..you can find Rem Oil in the sporting goods section of most walmarts. Just take the spool tension knob off and you can get a drop in the race that way. Of course just loosen the side plate to get to the other bearing. I'd suggest applying with a needle tip oil bottle.
