Does anyone happen to know how much larger physically the 1520 is versus the 1016?

Thanks in advance!

How hard is it to disassemble?

The Conquest is cake.

For people curious about 1016/1520 size difference, have you seen the post by matrix on page 3 of this thread?
If photos are better, I have added som size comparisons in this post. 1520 is the lower/left reel.
Cheers Michael

Those are some of the most beautiful reels, I really hate that only low profiles lead the market. Would be awesome to see some more $200-$350 round reels out there. Like a Zillion class Ryoga with a cast aluminum frame, Zaion sideplates, regular gears, etc. Wouldn't make sense though to cut the market from their flagship model though so I'm sure we'll never see anything like that, but it's nice to day dream...

if you asking about dismantling gear side cover, I would say it's PITA. up to this date I tried with no success

I finally took the plunge. I was looking for an excuse to buy a new Ryoga and picking up a SRD this winter was it. Only had it out for a few hours yesterday but am already in love. So smooth and powerful, I was cranking down a BBZ50 Rat like it was a 1.0 Squarebill.

I want to get a second spool for it so I have a mono and a braid option, but the only aftermarket one I can find is this RCS HD1520 spool, but it seems like it has a fixed inductor? Is this the only option out there or did I not look hard enough?

I take it that you got the 1500!size?. There are SLP HD and HLC spools plus Zillion 15xx spools. You can also get DIY spools with SV rotor from Aliexpress which weigh 12g.

How about braid with a short mono leader?

I’ve tried that a few times on other iterations of my swimbait set up and have never had much luck with it. Joining 50l braid to the .016” mono that I use leaves a big annoying knot even when I use an FG.

Nice combo. Is that a Super Red Demon?

Also, did you get that weird short Kuying snake head rod?

It is! A user here PMed me offing it for sale.

I did get the weird short Kuying but am trying to get more fish on it before I write a review. It’s lighter then I expected and I have some hesitation about what kind of cover I can really use it in.
