Aldebaran BFS weird spool finish?

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

Aldebaran BFS weird spool finish?

Post by kunia13 » Tue Feb 27, 2018 7:28 pm

Hey
I just got my Aldebaran BFS from digitaka and the spool looks a bit strange, as if it was ground smooth. It doesn't look rough or anything and as far as I can tell it all performs OK - smooth as butter.
I've watched Tackle Advisers video and there's quick shot of the spool from the same angle and it looks somewhat similar, no fishing around the spool shaft (I'm guessing it's some sort of anodize).
Take a look at the pictures attached.
Just wondering if it's normal.
Thanks

Maybe from the weld or polishing down a connecting point? Looks definitely like a leftover mark from manufacture.

I watched few more videos in different languages, and looks like this sort of finish is common - some have more, some have less.
And yea, something that was definitely made at manufacturing.
thx
