Anyone use an SV103 for jerkbaits?

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

Anyone use an SV103 for jerkbaits?

I currently use 2 reels for jerkbaits. A '13 Shimano Met. 6.2 and a Steez SV 6.3R. I am considering trading the Met. for another SV103 but am not sure how it might be for jerkbaits. Its not really that important as I have another Met. 6.2 but am curious if it would be OK.

I'm sure it would handle them fine, but personally I prefer lighter reels for jerkbaits.

The SV103H is very good for jerkbaits. It capable of throwing baits down to 3/16 oz. with control on the right rod. I'd rather have a lighter reel if you go light on the rod and baits.

i had a spare sv 103 last year on the shelf so i threw it on a powell 610 crankbait rod just to have an extra jerkbait set up around feb - march and it did very well for me. This being said 90% of the jerkbaits i threw where vision 110s and some rapalas which came in at 1/2 oz. I honestly do prefer lighter reels for jerkbaits, but the reel performed great if you dont mind the extra weight it carries
