Reel feet protectors

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

Reel feet protectors

Post by Big-Bass » Tue Jan 30, 2018 5:54 am

Can anyone recommend a protective cover for reel feet so that I don't mar them up with the locking nut of some rods? I think Shimano used to include a few with some of their Mg reels but are there any for Daiwa that you recommend or can purchase? I assume most are universal and if you know of a place to find them, that would be helpful. Thank you!

Same here, works fine.
Try not to let your mind wander. It is much too small to be outside unsupervised.

Heat shrink has been well used in the past. Just not the glue lined gear unless you want it permanently on.
