Gen 2 revo spool

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

Gen 2 revo spool

Post by Johnredd11 » Fri Jan 26, 2018 3:43 am

Does anyone know if i can get a diy spool that fits a revo premier gen 2? The only one that i see that is what im looking for is for a LTZ and im unsure if it will fit. Im not worried about having dual brakes as long as i can get a lighter spool. Im trying to upgrade it so i can consistantly cast 1/8 ounce rooster tails for stream trout.

You can get an avail spool, which is good for 1/8 oz. I am not aware of any aliexpress diy...

I have it in 51 size in my stx and premier 2nd gen

While the 51 will do ok, look for the 31 size for 1/8 oz...

Yes, something like the daiwa alphas air is not all that much more expensive and probably a better idea than a second spool for the revo. Sorry, not aware of any cheap diy spools. Good luck.
