Metanium MGL Review

Post by tacklejunkie2 » Sun Nov 19, 2017 7:11 pm

What are the chances that TT will post the official review of the Metanium MGL before Christmas?

This sure would be some nice useful information to have before all the Christmas sales expire.

I was also curious why all the shimano mgl reels got reviewed except the best one. And maybe also why the daiwas flagship steez sv tw never got any love. The metanium mgl from japan sites for around $300 is the best value by far for any high end reel. They are casting machines & are smoother than my steez sv tw's. Only 2 knocks i have against them are that they're not the best palming reels and they're a little over 6oz

That heavy azz "saltwater basically" steez A and the steez SV TW are two diff animals. Ive got both metanium mgl & steez SV TW, just would've like to see how the scores are against each other. We've seen a NUMBER of lower end reel reviews recently, wondering how these two flagship ones were forgotten about in '17?

Metanium is hardly Shimano's flagship. That status is for Antares and Conquest in the casting reel department. Nevertheless, all good things come to those who wait. ;)
