I've gone twice lake trout jigging with the 2500 Ballistic LT. Very impressive little reel...mounted to an Expride 7'2mh. Drag is smooth as butter out of the box. Time stamped video: https://youtu.be/V2UolyH9__4?t=496

Here is copycat site' initial tear down review of the LT series Tat, more to come I'm sure: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C04AiDcALI4&t=1s
Nice video, and nice catches! I'll look out for copycat site's more detailed review of the LT reels to come. That Ballistic LT looks real nice too btw...

Thanks! Was a good ending to my 2017 season.

I think you'll be happy with either the tat or ballistic, but these reels are brand new so only time will tell if they hold up to abuse. My ballistic will be put through the ringer both salt and freshwater soon enough.

Does any body know if any of the HH studios bearing upgrades will fit the 3000CXH?

Finally decided and placed an order for a Tatula LT 2500, can't wait to try it out!

I finally held the new Tatula spinning; and holy cow is it smooth. Waaaayy smoother than any of my Stella's.

The new Zaion is much stiffer than the CI4+; but I still prefer the metal feel; but i would buy one of these if in the market for another spinner.

*I sent my 3 new Stella FE's into Shimano; and am hoping/praying that they come back with no scratches/marks and are smoother than they were new; as I have heard they come back like butter from Shimano platinum service.....

Tatula is a thumbs on based on feel and looks alone for sure.

It seems like many newer reels these days are becoming more and more refined while keeping the prices affordable.

Curious, how did you determine that?

Should have said imho. Pretty clear to me though by mounting on a rod and grabbing rear of reel and twisting back and forth. Less flex to my eyes/hands; but of course not as stiff as metal.

Basically I was impressed by the weight, mild flex, and butter smoothness. Still hoping my Stella's come back from Shimano smoother than the Tatula.
