17 Scorpion DC question

Hello TT,
I got an itchy finger and want to pull the trigger on a Scorpion DC or a 70. My question is can the dc handle say 3/16 lures and up? I’ve read that the dc’s need a minimum weight to function properly. I’m not sure so I was hoping to get some clarification on that subject.

Yes, DC can handle 3/16...Even less,but lure should flying well

I just picked up this reel while I was in Japan a few weeks ago, and was just going to ask about casting 3/16 oz sized lures. Great info as always on this forum
