I think you're screwed. The Alphas Air uses a smaller diameter spool than a standard Alphas meaning that the Zonda bait finesse spool won't fit. I would think even a pixy diameter spool such as a presso would leave a small gap that light line would fall into.

Alphas Air 8.1? I thought 7.2 is the fastest ratio? Or do you mean SS Air?

All the Daiwa Air spools are 32 mm
Alphas Air - 9.74 grams
T3 Air - 9.21 grams
SS Air - 9.13 grams
Not much difference. I'd stick with the Alphas spool since it isn't so ported. Better durability. All spools are available at Hedgehog Studio.

There is the Ray's Studio BFS Pixy spool. It weighs 7.3 grams without bearing. You could add custom spacers to the Alphas Air to accommodate a 31 mm spool. No idea if it would be an actual, noticeable performance upgrade.
