Ok...so as a Shimano/Daiwa guy the cat is out of the bag with the new Curado, Sustain, etc. but what about Daiwa? I have heard about a new Tatula spinning and maybe a Tatula CS...but what else? Any new SV reels? Steez without TWS update as an option to replace Steez SV?

This is me just throwing ideas out but, what about a big bait reel? I know they have the Zillion HD and similar reels but, I wonder if Daiwa would bring out a 400 reel a step above the Lexa? I think a rendition of a 50 sized reel would be cool. Bringing the 9.1 Zillion SV and the 8.1 Steez SV TW would be nice as well.

I really like the looks of their 5 year plan. The tech is only in a few reels now. But soon all.

They're about to own a specific price point spinning reel....Just like they took over with another reel last year.

I would absolutely throw money all the way to their headquarters if they made a PIXY SV w/ a G1 spoool. Not worried about whether or whether not it has the T-wing. Makes me wonder how small they could manage that technology, then again they shrunk the TWS pretty easy for the CT framed reels.

Very excited to see if the Tatula spinning reel has a defining technology like the baitcaster did, whether it works or not, the Tatula will forever be most associated with the TWS.

Remember when the Steez 10 year anniversary thing came out from Daiwa when the Steez SV TW was coming out? It said they could have made it like 4.5 ounces or so but they wanted it to be more durable or whatever they said, perfect grounds for the Pixy. I think they could make the frame like the Steez SV TW but a little smaller with or without the TWS. The tapered rear portion of the Steez SV TW is very comfortable. Make a 50 sized frame like that and it's lights out.

Could be a way not to have the TWS for a high end Daiwa reel.

New Ballistic spinning reel coming. It is on the cover of "Fishing Tackle Retail".

Wonder if they aren't calling it a Tatula?

Anything is possible but the cover says Ballistic LT.

Not a reel per say but Daiwa is now the rod and reel sponsor of Mark Zona.

Zona's FB page. His boat is sporting a D on the deck and had the Tatula Elites on the deck. In the comments he said he was with Daiwa now since he was going in a different drection than Shimano/Loomis.

Sure it wasn't Fieder's boat...if that's the case no big deal. He and Mercer were insane about Shimano back in January but I can see where Daiwa (currently) can take the cake. I really love both manufacturers so you can't go wrong with either.
