Spool Question

Wondering if it is possible or if anyone has tried putting a megabass IS BFS spool in a T3 reel?

103 to T3 is difficult to pull off. The spool is the same dimensions but the spool shaft on the T3 is a mil longer than the 103 spool meaning that the 103 needs to be shimed to fit the T3. I believe you can put a 1mil spacer under the palming plate spool bearing and this will allow you to run a 103 spool in a T3. Few have done this and there are mixed reports on how well it works and which 103 spools work best.

Is a DIY spool an option? You can fix the inductor in the extended position for more control with UL baits if you like. I did this to my DIY in my SS SV.

I am receiving my DIY spool today, I will see how well that goes, I was just wondering in case the DIY spool wasn't that great.

The air spool is a beast, I can cast 2g lures no problem! Hell of a buy!

Which spool did you get? Looks like they have 4 different ones that will fit the T3. That would turn one of my T3s into another Pixy.
