Daiwa SV103 H or XS?

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

Daiwa SV103 reels. Gear ratio pick...6.3:1 or 7.9:1? Which one and why? Thanks!

Why depends entirely on what you want you mainly plan to use the reel for.

So....what do you plan on using the reel for?

Been discussed many times...
6.3 - moving baits (crankbaits, swimbaits, spinnerbaits, etc
7.9 - pitching, skipping, frogs, topwater, jigs, t-rigs, etc

The nice part is that you have more choices than that if you want. Gearsets are available in most of the popular speeds, not just the two available. I have 3 of the 6.3's, but one is going 7:1.
