SHIMANO YUMEYA 16 METANIUM MGL DEEP SPOOL

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

SHIMANO YUMEYA 16 METANIUM MGL DEEP SPOOL

Post by frogman1963 » Wed Mar 22, 2017 2:01 am

Hey guys, any one using one of the YUMEYA 16 METANIUM MGL DEEP SPOOLS in there mgl reel? How is it working for you? I was thinking of getting one for frog duty with some 50# or 65# power pro on it. Thanks

I'm interested as well. I have the 13 Deep spool for the 13met. Holds same amount of line as the Curado E series spool and works very well. I have 20# FC on mine.

Now, a key question is do I need this much line capacity? Unclear but I needed a spare spool anyway. I would not think I'd have any issue with 50 or 65# braid on the stock spool but again if I want a spare spool then I see no reason not to get a deep version for versatility.
