Shims for Shimano knobs?

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

Shims for Shimano knobs?

Post by cortman » Mon Dec 12, 2016 12:12 am

I just got a Hawgtech handle for my Met, and I like it a lot, but there's a decent amount of play in the knobs- I understand Shimano's tolerances for such are pretty generous. Thus, I'm wondering where I can get shims for the knobs, preferably for less than $1 a piece, like Shimano OEM wants for them! Or if someone knows of an equivalent that works as well. Thanks!

At any rc store you'll find 4x6mm washers ;)

I went with the Hedgehog shims but like most things Hedgehog, they were pricey.

I dunno, 4 or 6 or something? If your price is any less than $1 a piece you've got a customer lol.

Thanks for the link, lowrange!
