User friendly SV

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

User friendly SV

Post by Rarebreed » Sun Jun 19, 2016 10:37 am

Hey guys, trying to help out a buddy. He wants an easy to use bait caster, he's new to the fishing scene. I told him that the new SV reels get great reviews, but I have no experience with any of the SV reels. My question is which is most user friendly? Or, are they all pretty much the same? Thanks guys.

Alphas SV 105 or the SV 103. Alphas SV would be cheaper to obtain and would be lighter in weight as well which may appeal to a 1st timer as well.

Alphas SV is an extremely easy caster to use, first combo i loan out to newbies on the boat.

For a cheaper price the Alphas SV can be bought through Digitaka or Japan Lure Shop.

T3 SV is also on sale everywhere. If there's some left, that would be an excellent option as well.

I have one of the new Zillion TW SV reels that I have been breaking in up in Canada this week. Fantastic reel. I like just about everything about it. Caught a huge pike with it the other day, never broke a sweat.

Thanks again guys, alphas SV should be here in a couple days, hopefully it works for him and he gets hooked on fishing. Worse come to worse, I got myself a nice reel :D
