13 Metanium line capacity
13 Metanium line capacity
Quick question fellas I am about to spool up my brand new metanium XG this is going to be my main jig reel this season and I wanted to run 20lb sunline shooter on it, how much do you think it will hold? I tried to search and a few guys said that they were running heavy fluoro on theres but there was no mention as to how much they where actually getting on the spool. Thanks
Re: 13 Metanium line capacity
You can get 70 meters. More than enough.
Re: 13 Metanium line capacity
run some mono or braid backing, you'll get more run out of a spool of shooter...

I fish 18lb Sniper on my 13 Metanium and it holds more than enough and that's with backing.

If it's not enough they have the factory Yumeya deep spool available
Re: 13 Metanium line capacity
I have some 40b power pro that i was gonna use as backing since I started doing that with all of my other reels to save some money on line show much backing did you guys use?
Re: 13 Metanium line capacity
I started using old braided line as backing on my Mets and it works well. I honestly don't see much difference then the Mono backing I was using but not throwing finesse lures on my Mets either.
I'm running 20# sunline sniper on my deep spool for the Met. Have not used it a ton but it seems to perform well. I don't think I would have any issues using the 20# sniper on the regular Met spool. The line is limp and with some line conditioner gets even better.
The stock spool should have enough line capacity for any bass fishing application in 40 feet or less water.
