new Tatula CT
So, in the new Bassmaster mag, there is an ad for a new Tatula CT reel. Not much info (just talking about T-Wing, Air Rotation, etc). MSRP: $149.99. No clue what is going to be different, if anything.

Hopefully CT stands for "compact".pharmboy2010 wrote:So, in the new Bassmaster mag, there is an ad for a new Tatula CT reel. Not much info (just talking about T-Wing, Air Rotation, etc). MSRP: $149.99. No clue what is going to be different, if anything.

Just text or did the ad have a picture? Hopefully it's a smaller frame, indeed. Otherwise, not sure what they could do to make yet another version of a reel with that same size. I like the Tatula a lot, but geez!

Interesting train of thought. Maybe it's the new Zillion TW SV without the SV spool?Chowmeow wrote:Hopefully CT stands for "compact".pharmboy2010 wrote:So, in the new Bassmaster mag, there is an ad for a new Tatula CT reel. There it's a pic. Looks exactly the same to me, except red highlights....but the Type R already had that, so I'm at a lost as to what it's going to be different. If it were a smaller version, I would think that would be mentioned in the ad.

Re: new Tatula CT
OK, so after scrutinizing the pic some more, I believe that it might indeed be a smaller framed version (same as the new Zillion TW SV). This might be some eye trickery/wishful thinking, but the front plate looks a little narrower and the top hood resembles the Zillion TW SV.
Re: new Tatula CT
This would be a great addition to daiwas lineup then. I wonder why daiwa would start with a 150 msrp if the original tatula is at that pricepoint?pharmboy2010 wrote:OK, so after scrutinizing the pic some more, I believe that it might indeed be a smaller framed version (same as the new Zillion TW SV). Re: new Tatula CT
That pic from the magazine does appear to be a Tatula built on the new smaller Zillion frame. The Red ported one must be a new Type R.
