Re: Daiwa Reel Covers
I only cover one because it's Mg. It's a TW neoprene cover. Works great.

I like the blue black H2O one from Academy. 2.99 and I like the colors. They are really thin and easy to put on. I have one TW model and it's kinda bulky.

TW reel covers are great for the price. It is about all I use.
Re: Daiwa Reel Covers
Had the same question and couldn't find the Daiwa covers so started using Phenix neoprene covers; work just as well as the Daiwa covers that I have

Re: Daiwa Reel Covers
Looks like Japan Tackle has the Daiwa covers back in stock. However, they're pricey! The Daiwa covers have been VERY hard to find in the past. I use the TW covers. They seem to work just fine.
Re: Daiwa Reel Covers
Okuma from TW , 3.99 each . Just cut off the okuma logo that is sewn on .... that is what i did . My opinion on the TW covers is that they are junk.

This type work very well and stay closed very well. They are the most sucure that i have found so far especially when rods are bundled together. You can also write with a sharpie on the blank label ,
and the lure ring is metal ...aluminium i think . I dont use the ring but i cover it with matching colored electrical tape. I have these covers in the royal blue color .- cndbasshunter

Re: Daiwa Reel Covers
I use Daiwa's neoprone reel cover. A little pricey for a reel cover but it does its job and does it well. Great material and easy to put on/off. I've also bought Opass' reel cover and it has a 2nd velcro strap that goes on the bottom of the reel frame. In a way it's more secure but a little bit of a hassle when you're constantly putting the cover on & off.
Re: Daiwa Reel Covers
These ones are the same as the opass ones except they have the plain patch on them to write on and they come in blue and red colors . The opass ones that i have seen only come in black or grey colors.tditox4 wrote:This type work very well and stay closed very well. Ryan , just take the metal ring off if you want . You can use these covers for left hand reels also. I only have low profile reels and i use the size S .cndbasshunter wrote:Being a lefty sucks.tditox4 wrote:This type work very well and stay closed very well. I use the same exact thing Crown Royal "bag" for my spinning reels. They work well and draw strings allow you tighten them down to fit the reel. I think I need to get another bottle of Crownuljersey wrote:I used to get these from someone in the family who worked in the hospitality industry ... they worked like a champ

Re: Daiwa Reel Covers
Been using the TW covers for years now. They work fine for me. I've learned to even keep a few extras around for when I pick up another reel.
