Re: Reel covers?
I've been using the Daiwa covers for years. Great protection and very heavy with full coverage protection of the handle. Expensive to buy that logo.
I've also used the Phenix, similar to the Daiwa, lighter in weight material and fits most reels a quite a bit snugger. Not a bad choice, but for anything larger than a 100 size, it's fitting 2 lbs of baloney into a one pound sack.:

Ran across these and at less than half the price of the Phenix, these may be worth a look:

The Okuma looks to fit the same as the highest priced Daiwa, and the lower priced Phenix. For $3.99, I'd gamble on a couple of them from TW. Granted you have their logo on your gear, but it's more about protection than a fashion statement.

These are a good product and work very well.spencerinstl wrote:Cabelas reel covers work well, I have them on all my baitcasting reels. They have a metal ring attached to them that you can hook baits onto. http://www.cabelas.com/product/Cabelas- ... reel+cover

I have at least a dozen of the Okumas. The Okuma covers are thinner than the Daiwas , maybe 25 to 35% , and the velcro strip is not quite rectangular shaped and a small bit smaller . The Okuma logo is only sewn on . You can super easily cut it off with a knife . That is what I did . A Daiwa/Megabass reel user should never be caught "sleeping with an enemy" so to speak. Also , you will not find this type of cover at a lower price than TW has currently. Okuma rep told me they would sell for at least 5.99 CAN in Canada . With shipping and exchange , I still only paid around 4.50 each for them .

Re: Reel covers?
TW all the way. Low cost and very effective. Cut mine upon purchase over 2 years ago. Took this pic 5 minutes ago
Oh, I forgot to mention they fit my 203 millionaire perfectly as well.Re: Reel covers?
I use Shimano covers on ALL of my reels: Shimano, Daiwa and Megabass.tditox4 wrote:A Daiwa/Megabass reel user should never be caught "sleeping with an enemy" so to speak.
Re: Reel covers?
use rod glove reel covers....great for protecting the reels during transport in the car to the boat....don't need to cut any slits and they fit with the reels on the rods also.....

Re: Reel covers?
The only low profile casting reel I have that doesn't seem to fit well in the TW covers is the Tatula and my Citica 200dsv. I have several Shimano 50 sized reels, and 200e reels. They all fit fine to me.GOOD YEAR 71 wrote:Yup, the TW covers work great, really do. But they are sized for 100 class, not the 50 or 200 you asked about.
If you have some older reels or very large profile reels it may be a tighter more snug fit.

Re: Reel covers?
I received three left-hand retrieve TW reel covers (pretty nice quality). They work beautifully on my Revo and 51e, but too small to comfortably fit my Curado 201b. If anyone wants to trade me a larger lefty low profile cover for the TW cover I've got let me know.

Re: Reel covers?
Does anyone know what reel cover size will fit a Shimano 50/51 baitcaster (Chronarch E51, 2016 Aldebaran BFS) ?

Re: Reel covers?
I have several of the TW covers, and like them. I also have a couple of Academy Sports covered, they are slightly smaller and work great on Pixy’s, Alphas, etc.
