Lews BB1 Pro Series Reels

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

Lews BB1 Pro Series Reels

Post by sandiegotennispro » Fri May 29, 2015 1:36 am

I love my Lews BB2 Inshore reel and am looking for another reel.

How does the BB1 Pro or BB2 compare to the inshore?

I will mostly be using it in bays in saltwater and also some freshwater.

Will the BB1/BB2 Pro Series stand up in saltwater?

How do you like these reels?

I've been using a BB1 pro inshore for a while now, and it's got its strengths and weaknesses. Casting distance wise its excellent with heavier lures, spooks/paul browns... but I have to turn elsewhere for most soft plastic applications. Also it requires a lot more maintenance than some of my other reels.
