New 2015 Steez SV

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

Yep, puts it in direct competition with the Metanium. I wonder what they removed to cut the cost.
Zaion drag stars and sideplates. I know a lot of you guys care, but I don't d:

The weight may be up, but MSRP is down to $399.95 on the new Steez...

I'm interested in checking out the new SV 103. Hopefully it's a "real" Zillion with an SV spool that will work in other platforms of that size.
That SV103 is nice, that is the one i wanna get. The SV spools will be hawt, especially the Zillion\SV103!!!
very exciting stuff here! i guess Daiwa realized they were getting smoked by Shimano, and decided to bring it!

--a steez coming in under 4 bills  WOW!!

--and the sv103! now that the 100m spools are all but gone, this should be a VERY nice replacement spool for those looking to significantly upgrade fuegos and 'real' zillions....

--sv105....that frame looks very cool, not to mention the 7.1:1 gear sets that will/should be available for pixies and alphas reels!!! just gotta figure out how to make those gears work in millionaires and monoblocks.

I hope the sv103 spool is a zillion spool, i've been tempted more than once to pull the trigger on the megabass honeycomb spool but 200+ bucks is a hard pill to swallow...

Ian do the alphas sv gears fit the px reels? I have both so I guess i could pull em both apart and see but would be nice to have the option to bump the 6.8 up to the 7.2.

My guess is the 105SV is a USA release of the JDM Alphas SV and the 103SV is a TD-Z/SS SV (103H size) not the larger 100M size.

If the new release Fuego would have been a SV rendition that would have been the interchangeable Zillion/Fuego/BBS spool.

Would have liked to see the Zillion HD in SV.....but that would most likely have taken away someof the current Zillion TWS sales.

More info on the Steez SV.

Noticed they did not use the "dimpled" 103 spool like that found n the JDM---Ltd. -TN version.

Not a big deal , but they did use it on previious USDM Steez Offerings.

I have all the pricing on the new Daiwa stuff directly from Daiwa, so I'd imagine MSRP is accurate...

I noticed the SV103 6.3 model has gold accents. I wonder if the 7.9 will be red or purple?

Also the name... With the ss sv 103, and the sv 103 steez spool, Surely they won't just call it 'SV 103'? I can see that getting a little confusing :D

Not to question your accuracy...just wondered if they were made public to all.

Check out the reels at :21 & :40.
:-k
Frames look like td-z/old zillion (compared to the 2 reels in the rear, which are new zillions). But the top cut outs/porting on the thumb rest look different than any reel I can find..

Prototypes maybe?

edit on 2nd look...maybe they are the new zillion frames?
But that one sure looks like a tdz with that flat top and sharp lines.
And that porting is different than anything I can find jdm or USA.
