New 2015 Steez SV

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

New 2015 Steez SV

Post by spookybaits » Wed May 27, 2015 8:04 am

looking at the upcoming new steez SV, I noticed 2 things- the new (deep) SV spool with 100yards of 14lb, and the mention of "fast spool changes".

Is the "fast spool changes" something new, or was it on the Steez EX's as well?

I'd say the speed of spool changes depends on how quickly you can get the line threaded through the guides and a lure tied on. Unless they've created some sort of quick release mechanism instead of the screw at the mag dial...

The weight may be up, but MSRP is down to $399.95 on the new Steez...

I'm interested in checking out the new SV 103. Hopefully it's a "real" Zillion with an SV spool that will work in other platforms of that size.

I'm in for at least one spool and one reel if it is OG Zillion, I need a replacement for my temperamental REVO SX.

Yep, puts it in direct competition with the Metanium. I wonder what they removed to cut the cost.

Here's an editors note in regards to these new reels-
(Translation is a little rough, hard to make out some of it)
Today's first chapter, first solemnly apologize. Why, because the first one "2016 Daiwa New intelligence (Casting Reel papers)," the draft yard there was an error, related sv103 and 105, in which the SV103 is the TD-Z and later ZILLION from the same strain, but should be SV105 with the Japanese version of alphas SV are twins, but after careful comparison, Xiao Bian found escape the current information, the US version of the 105 uses a ZAION side of the body, while the Japanese version did not mention. And 103 using the 7075 cup material, but 103 did not mention. In this judgment should be adjusted according to market demand. Therefore, when an estimated 105 this future market should also alphas little bit more expensive than the Japanese version. In short, in any case, Xiao Bian has paid a painful price paid half the penalty for this stupid mistake. (Oh ~ Zi life not afford to hurt ah ~) is also here to you the reader to make a formal apology.
