Daiwa Coastal Zillion vs Daiwa Tatula HD

Reels are the hottest topic for TackleTour. Everyone wants to know what the latest and greatest is and how they compare to the old guard. What's the best for light stuff, or what's your suggestion for heavy cover. Do we really need different retrieve ratios? It's all in here.

Daiwa Coastal Zillion vs Daiwa Tatula HD

Post by sandiegotennispro » Sat Mar 21, 2015 2:37 pm

I am a saltwater bay fisherman and sometimes freshwater lake fisherman.

I plan on using either of these reels in salt and fresh for mostly bass fishing and calicos in the ocean.

Which reel do you think is better since they are both high speed reels?

Why change something if it isn't broken? I have not used the Tatula HD, but I own 2 Zillion coastals and love both of them. They look better also, especially if combined with a Dobyns Champ!

x2. The reel is a beast

btw if you can find a Zillion 50th, they have 11 ball bearings all corrosion resistant
